Two sentences I found interesting in the Raisin in the sun review:

"Although the social scale of the characters is different, the knowledge of how character is controlled by environment is much the same, and the alternation of humor and pathos is similar."

-I like this sentence because it has a great variety of fast word and it has a couple of great examples of alliteration

" And also the most illuminating."


-I really like this last sentence fragment. It almost gives you a feel of how the people talked in
A Raisin in The Sun


Summary

In this article, we learn about the how A Raisin in the Sun was portrayed in the 1950's by not only the characters, but by the great behind the scenes staff. At the beginning of the article, there is a basic summary about how the play goes. The article describes how the play is hard on the heart yet light on the soul. It also talks about the extremely talented cast and how they brought life to the play. The specifically congratulated Sidney Poitier, who played Walter Lee Younger, for his amazing ability to draw an audience. Finally, the article ends with talk about honesty. The entire play is honest about what a black family living in poverty might go through when given a large amount of money.
